What are you reaching out for?

Sorry for not posting any art here lately. I have been so busy with my day job, that I haven't had the free time to get lost in the colors. Here is a quote for the day. Let me know what you are reaching out for!?

The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences.

Eleanor Roosevelt

I love what you post here and I know time isn't always on your side (whose side IS it on anyway?)

Because I love what you do here, I named you in my post on what inspires, motivates, and encourages me.

I am no longer reaching out for 'the job' that will fix my life. I am reaching out for how to settle into my age (58) and still provide for myself. Turns out three of us got laid off the Afghan job and we were all over 55!!! That was interesting to learn. It is time to reach out for acceptance in life and how to move forward gracefully into my 60'ssssss. And not feel the tremendous fears that I have.

oh and what I was reaching for yesterday was colour. Spray painted some iron humingbirds orange in my backyard. Can't seem to get enough colour after spending that time in Afghanistan.

It is so frustrating to take care of the requirements in order to enjoy the good parts!!!! Thanks for responding to my email about my art at the coffee house. Hope you are able to drop by!

As always, what I'm reaching out for is PEACE. I guard my sense of peace with all due vigilance. Always watching what I am inviting into my life.
