Recovery

Waking up this morning, I was little dazed and confused. I thought that it was a school day! To my relief...it is Saturday! Hip Hip Horray! I decided to get my coffee and head out back to my spot for morning meditation. The air was cool and crisp, the yard was mowed....how much better can it get? Well, let me tell you...I went in to work for a while, and then off to my morning recovery meeting. By the end of the meeting...I knew God had a hand in this day! Nothing particular, just one of those big beautiful Grateful kind of days. So I decided to head out to the studio (since my hubby was already out there crafting away in the wood shop) The music was playing (some jazz, some soul and a little Jack Johnson) I love painting to music. So here is the painting that was created from this beautiful day. It's called, simply, Recovery.

Enjoy the painting, and enjoy your day....drink it in. "Recovery"

Man cubs in action!

I got home late tonight from work and found my man cubs very busy. Daddy has decided to give the boys new doors to their rooms. Ones that they can personalize and have friends sign when ever they are over to visit. They will also be able to take them to college and beyond:) I think it is an awsome idea! So we went to the habitat store the other day and found 2 doors. I had NO IDEA how creative they were going to get with them! When I got home this evening this is what I found. I am so proud of them...(tear)...and their creativity. They designed, taped and painted them all by themselves. GO RIGHT BRAIN>>GO! Thank you sweetheart for giving them an outlet for their bright imaginations.

I had to share this with all of you.

Raffle Winner receives painting

The RAFFLE WINNER from last Friday night's party was Debby Reed . She owns Fastframe http://www.fastframe.com/storeLocations/store.php?id=3858in Huntsville,Al and is a master framer. How perfect! We decided to let the raffle winner pick ANY piece in the show that they wanted. She chose "A Walk in the Park". Here is a picture from yesterday, when we presented her with her painting. It was so fun getting to know Debby. She is very talented. So she decided to just take the painting(no frame) and come up with a beautiful piece of her art work to put around the painting. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
Thank you Debby for sharing your time with us yesterday. I hope that you enjoy the painting for a long long time!

SOLD

Well, another painting has been sold. This one comes with such a sweet story. A lady named Jan, who is from West Hollywood, Ca, emailed me the other day. Her family had bought a house on Green Turtle Cay in the Bahamas. She saw the painting and wanted to buy it for the new home. Of course I said yes:) So today, I shipped the painting out to her. This is the first painting that I have had to actually ship to someone. Usually the store where the painting is located will do that for me. So I grabbed my friend, who we will refer to as Ethel....because I am Lucy..ha, and off we went. Now I don't know about you all....but I like to have fun where ever I go. THIS WAS A BLAST! The man working behind the counter was so cute and played right along with our little jokes. And one man in line was giving tips on sending packages and actually wanted the painting. Ahhhh the little moments in life that make you stop in your tracks and say thank you. That is what it is all about.
So thank you Jan for buying the painting. I hope that you and your family will treasure it in your new home-away-from-home. But more important...THANK YOU for giving me the opportunity to have a joyous moment and a LOT of laughter at the post office with my best friend.
Enjoy!
