Bunnies at home

I was invited to go by Erica's house and see the Bunnies in the finished baby's room. They look so pretty. She has done a phenomenal job decorating!!! She has a natural talent for decor and how colors play off of each other.
The baby is due in about 3 weeks and I do believe everything is ready for sweet little Thad's arrival.

Here are a few pictures I took while I was there today.
Enjoy!

Thanks to everyone who came out today for the Monte Sano Art Show, even though it was raining a little. It turned out to be a beautiful day full of laughter, fun and interesting new people. Thanks sweetie for always being there for me.
A big shout out to the guys who are re-modeling their kitchen, the lady who fell in love with the magnolias, and the guy who saw me painting the avocados and had to have them(sorry no pic of them, i just painted them today). I hope that you all enjoy your new paintings for many many years to come. Thanks!

The Morning After

So.....here they are on the morning after. Some "SWEET" little friends came by in the middle of the night and decided to toilet paper/"roll" our house. The problem with this was that the neighbors daughter had a birthday party too. So they saw the balloons on the mailbox next door and TP'd their house.

Being the great mom that I am, HA, I decided to get the girls up at 6:45 and have them clean every...... last...... piece before the neighbors woke up. Keeping in mind that the girls had only had about 30min of sleep. he he he

Off they went, dazed and confused with trash bags in hand. LOL And they did a fantastic job.

Note to "rollers".....1. when you want to TP a house, make sure you get the address right

2. revenge is a scary thing ;)

All in all the party went well and another birthday has passed. Next up....16

Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Julie!!!!

Well...my one and only baby girl turned 15. (tear) I just can't believe that I have children who are in high school and learning to drive. Key word...LEARNING! Where has all the time gone?

Her request for this year was minimal compared to the past years. Usually we have 40-50 kids for a "blare the music" bash in the back yard. This year all she wanted was her closest friends to dress nice and go to Makatos (Japanese steak house) Yep.....she is growing up.

I still remember her first word, her first fall, her first hug. and the first time I saw her, like it was yesterday. I watch her with her friends and see how much she is growing. She is turning in to such a beautiful young woman.....she makes me proud:)

Happy birthday Julie....I love you.

The Sauna House

Again, another one from the Orlando trip. This was the Sauna House by the pool. The water fall poured out in to the swimming pool. So of course I was the weird lady sitting by the pool painting...what great fun!

The Copa Loca

When we were on our vacation in Orlando this year, our resort had an outdoor restaurant and bar. Now, granted I didn't get to use the bar, but the food was great! One night they had a Hawaiian Luau. So while the dancers were shaking their beautiful, skinny, little hips (I wish I had their waist line) I sat and painted this. It was so nice that evening that I NEEDED to capture some small piece. So here it is....."The Copa Loca"

Listening to Enya

Felt like painting to some music....Enya was the winner tonight. Her music is like golden rain on tulips.....

Enjoy!

Enough with the Bunnies

Ok...ENOUGH with the Bunnies! I can only stand working on something for so long before I HAVE to change it up a bit. I NEED some RED! So here is a girl that I had done a little while back...I just thought she could use some VA VA VOOM color.

Don't know what her name is yet......she may end up being another in the series of Pensive...I will have to wait and see how she emerges.

Enjoy!

Commission Done!

The Bunnies
16 X 20 ea. acrylic on canvas
By Michele Lee Copyright 2008
Ok, so I was a day or two behind. But I finally got it done. YEAH! Here is a picture of the commission piece that I finished his morning... and with just a few weeks to go before the baby arrives....she will have plenty of time to get them hung. I love it when I can finish a job early.

Now let's see what else is on the agenda.....2 uniforms for my friends daughter that have to be sewn....finish 3 paintings before the Monte Sano Art show on the 20th....work.....and of course fit the family in to all of this time I have to spare. LOL

A little coffee and a lot of prayer and I am sure it will get done just as it is supposed to....or at least that's what I am telling myself :)
Enjoy!

MY BIRTHDAY 5 whole yrs!!!

Yesterday was my 5th year sober!!!!! YEAH! This birthday means so much more to me than my real birthday. I looked back on my life yesterday and here is what I have found....just some of the reasons God has kept me sober.

10. didn't DRINK
9. went to a meeting every day..or at least tried (didn't drink)
8. Got a sponsor (didn't drink)
7. read the big book (didn't drink)
6. listened to other people who REALLY wanted to stay sober (didn't drink)
5. do the step work constantly (didn't drink)
4. shared my experience strength and hope (didn't drink)
3. prayed and meditated as often as I could for God's will for me (didn't drink)
2. walked through fears (didn't drink)
and the number 1.......
Stayed close to my dad..God... one day at a time. Oh yea, I almost forgot...I didn't drink

This has been an amazing 5 years....I hope and pray for many many more.
